Adding your own icons

Note: Adding your own fonts is a Cuttle Pro feature.

Icons (also known as emoji) can be used on their own, or inline with text. You can use Cuttle’s icons, all of the Noto Emoji collection, and search for Noun Project icons.

You can also upload your own icons. They should be SVG, square, with a black fill and no background.

For your own templates, with the “Emoji” parameter type you can recommend your own icons and other icons. Unlike your own fonts, other people can use your icons if you use or recommend them in a shared project.

Upload your own icon

  1. Open the icon picker from an emoji parameter, or a text element with the “paw” icon.
  2. Click “Add Icon” and choose your SVG.

Rename your icon

Icon names can be helpful when searching the icon picker. By default, the name will be the file name when you upload the icon. You can rename icons in the “My Icons” collection.

  1. Open the icon picker and hover the icon that you want to rename.
  2. Click the “…” that shows at the top of the icon.
  3. Click “Rename…” and change the name in the dialog box.

Remove your icon

  1. Open the icon picker and hover the icon that you want to remove.
  2. Click the “…” that shows at the top of the icon.
  3. Click “Remove…” and confirm the removal.
