How do the free project and download limits work?
Free accounts can store up to 5 free projects. Projects are saved creations that you make in the Cuttle editor, for example when you create a blank design or click “Copy this Project”. You can delete projects from your dashboard to stay under this limit.
A download is any time you download or export an SVG or other file type, or when you use Cuttle’s Print feature. Free accounts have a limit of 10 downloads per month. This limit resets on the first of every month.
What’s the difference between Personal Use and Commercial Use?
Any usage of Cuttle for your business or for monetary compensation falls under commercial use. To use Cuttle commercially, you need to purchase a Pro plan.
Examples of personal use:
- Making physical items for yourself or your home
- Making gifts for friends
Examples of commercial use:
- Making physical or digital products to sell
- Making marketing materials for a business
How do I cancel my paid plan?
Your Cuttle subscription will automatically renew until you cancel it. You can cancel your subscription by logging in, clicking your avatar in the upper-right corner and going to “Settings”, then “Manage My Subscription”. After you cancel, you’ll still have access to all the paid features until the end of your billing cycle.

What happens to my projects if I cancel my paid plan?
You’ll continue to have access to all your existing projects. You can make edits and export. But you won’t be able to create new projects if you are over the project limit and you won’t have access to features of the paid plan.
Will you notify me when my subscription is about to renew?
Yes, we’ll send you a friendly email reminder a few days before any payment.
What happens if my payment fails? Like if my credit card expires?
We’ll email you after each failed payment. Payments may be retried up to 4 times within the next month. After this, if the payment did not succeed, you will be downgraded to the free plan.
How do refunds work?
If you believe you’ve made a mistake signing up for a paid Cuttle subscription, please email support@cuttle.xyz. We’ll be happy to refund you the full amount within 30 days of signing up.
How is my payment being processed?
We use Stripe to process your payment. It’s the same payment provider used by products such as Twitter, Pinterest, and Lyft. We do not handle your credit card information directly.
Do you offer educational pricing?
Yes! We offer the Cuttle for K-12 Education Plan, which provides free access to the Cuttle Editor for all certified K-12 schools. This includes unlimited projects, downloads, and access to all the features of our web-based editor for all students and teachers at no cost.
Note: Cuttle for K-12 Education completely unlocks the Cuttle Editor but does not come with Cuttle Pro content and templates.
