Make a 3D Flying Dove which has the option to be personalized with a short phrase like Peace, Love, Joy, etc to celebrate the Holiday Season.. Be sure to read all the directions below.

Instructions

Using 1/8" material (acrylic, double sided MDF, wood) use Cuttle's Slot Size Tester (see link below) to determine what size to set your slot thickness value.

Next preform a test cut using the square below. This will allow you to test the actual fit of the value obtained from the slot size tester. Repeat test cut, if needed, until you get a good snug, but not forceful, fit. Once satisfied, enter that value in the slot thickness box.

If you choose, you may also engrave a short word on the Dove's body. Otherwise leave blank.

Hints: In general do not use masked material for the slot test. But if you will be painting, or adding craft paper to the project, test with a piece that is the same as your end product will be. Do a separate slot size test for each material you use. Don't assume White MDF and regular MDF size the same, for example.

Enter slot thickness (in inches) of your material that gives a snug fit in the Cuttle Slot Size Tester. Then cut the Test Square to confirm the actual fit when put together.

***Confirm size of Test Square is 0.8 x 0,8 inches or 20.32 x20.32 mm in your laser program.
