Materials used:

1/4" Maple from Columbia Forest Products at Home Depot. 1/8" wood or MDF would also work.

Kerf Tips:

I use a slot sizer to determine the measurement to put in the "Slot Size" field.
Find a link to the slot sizer below
To use a slot sizer, simply cut it out of your desired material (I use one for 1/4" thick material, and one for 1/8" thick material - keep them and reuse for all materials this thick!)
Insert the project material into the slot sizer to find the slot that fits snuggly
Insert the measurement listed there into the Slot Size parameter above.
