Slot Sizer (1/8" and 1/4" materials)

This slot sizing tool takes the guesswork out of creating perfectly fitted slots, no kerf calculations or measuring headaches required.

Because laser cutting removes a small amount of material as it cuts, your finished pieces are never quite the same thickness as what’s listed on the sheet. On top of that, wood and acrylic are rarely exactly 1/8" or 1/4", which can lead to loose or overly tight fits if you rely on standard measurements.

Simply cut the slot sizer using the same material thickness you’re working with and keep it on hand for future projects. When you’re ready to design, slide your wood or acrylic into the slots until you find the one that fits just right. That slot size becomes your go-to measurement for clean, secure joins. Input that measurement into the slot size portion of your projects.

I do recommend that if you work with different materials, for example, wood and acrylic, that you create a sizer for both as the kerf can change per material.
