DIY Sushi Bento Box Coloring Kit

This DIY Sushi Box Coloring Set is a fun little pretend-play project kids can color, assemble, and customize! The set includes a layered sushi box with removable sushi pieces, chopsticks, soy sauce, and extra pieces for mix-and-match play.

Instructions:

1. Color the lid first.
   After cutting, color or paint the sushi box lid before assembly, if desired. It is usually easier to color the engraved or scored details before the layers are glued together.

2. Build the sushi box frame.
   Glue or adhere the thicker frame layer(s) on top of the base piece. Two frame layers are included, but you may cut more or fewer depending on your material thickness and how much space you want inside the box.

3. Add the lid insert layer.
   Once the frame layers are dry, glue or adhere the thinner frame layer on top of the box frame. This thinner layer creates the inset area where the lid will sit.

4. Attach the lift lid piece.
   Glue or adhere the rounded square piece with the flower on top of the lid, using the score line as guidance. This piece acts as the lift handle, making it easier to remove the lid and reveal the sushi pieces inside.

5. Color the sushi pieces.
   Finally, color or paint the removable sushi pieces, chopsticks, soy sauce bottle, and extra pieces with paint markers, acrylic paint, or your preferred coloring supplies.

6. Place the sushi pieces inside.
   Add the finished sushi pieces to the sushi box, then place the lid into the inset frame. Use the rounded square flower piece to lift the lid and reveal the sushi box inside.
