This design includes a layered can, removable peach pieces, a lid with a pull-tab detail, and cute scored accents that can be colored with paint markers, paint, or left natural. A playful interactive design that’s perfect for kids’ activities, gifts, or a fun craft project.
Instructions:
Color the lid and base first.
After cutting, color or paint the lid, tab and base piece before assembly, if desired. It is usually easier to color the engraved/scored details before the layers are glued together.Build the can frame.
Glue or adhere the thicker frame layer(s) on top of the base piece. Two frame layers are included, but you may cut more or fewer depending on your material thickness and how much space you want inside the can.Add the lid insert layer.
Once the frame layers are dry, glue or adhere the thinner frame layer on top of the can frame. This thinner layer creates the inset area where the lid will sit.Attach the tab handle.
Glue or adhere the tab handle to the lid, using the score lines on the lid as a placement guide.Color the peaches.
Color or paint the peaches and peach slices with paint markers, acrylic paint, or your preferred coloring supplies. You can also leave some pieces natural to show the wood grain.Place the peaches inside.
Add the finished peach pieces to the can, then place the lid into the inset frame. Use the tab to lift the lid and reveal the peaches inside.
