How to Use

materialThicknessbased on the material you're cutting. This will determine the height of the finger joints.Set the
kerfto compensate for the kerf of your cutter. A value of 0.007" is usually good for tight-fitting laser-cut finger joints, but you'll need to adjust this depending on your material, material thickness, and cutter.Optional: adjust the
tabWidthif you want your finger joint tabs to be bigger or smaller.Optional: adjust the
fingerHoldWidthif you want the hold that helps you open the lid to be bigger or smaller.Optional: adjust the
fingerHoldOverhangif you want the finger hold to stick out a bit further from the front of the box. In practice a very small amount is necessary for your finger to catch onto this tab.
Assembly
Press-fit all the finger jointed pieces together except for one side.

Add the lid, inserting the pin into the hole. Then add the final side, which will lock the lid in place.

The finger joints will slot into each other with a tight fit. You may need to use a rubber mallet to tap them in.
