Instructions
Start by setting the Page Width and Page Height to match the paper you plan to use. These dimensions define the functional size of the notebook and determine where holes are placed.
Choose the Binding Side. Left is standard for most notebooks, while right is useful for reverse layouts or special applications.
Adjust the Cover Radius if you want rounded corners. This affects only the outline of the cover and does not change hole placement.
Set the Cover Overhang to add extra material beyond the paper. Overhang is applied to the top, bottom, and outer edge only. The binding edge remains aligned with the paper so holes always match correctly.
Use Edge To Center to control how far the holes sit from the binding edge. This is measured from the finished cover edge to the center of each hole.
Set the Hole Margins to define how close the first and last holes can be to the top and bottom edges. Increasing this value keeps holes away from corners and rounded edges.
Choose a Hole Pitch to control the spacing between holes. Smaller values create more holes per inch, while larger values leave more material between holes.
Select a Hole Count Mode. Auto calculates the number of holes based on page height, margins, and pitch. Fixed lets you manually specify the number of holes.
If using Fixed mode, enter the desired Hole Count. This value is ignored when Auto mode is selected.
Choose a Hole Spacing method. Fixed follows the pitch starting at the top margin. Centered keeps the pitch fixed but centers the hole pattern between the margins. Distributed evenly spaces the holes from top margin to bottom margin.
Select a Hole Shape. Round holes work for most bindings. Slot shapes can improve strength when using tight spacing.
If using round holes, adjust the Hole Diameter. Smaller diameters leave more material between holes and increase strength in rigid materials.
