Size presets

Small
Index card sized. Great for coasters, mug rugs, sample pieces, and testing patterns.

Medium
A comfortable first project size. Not too large for beginners.

Large
A larger loom for small wall hangings and more ambitious designs.

Bookmark
Tall and narrow, with proportions suited for woven bookmarks. The finished bookmark will be smaller than the loom after tying off and trimming fringe.

Bracelet
Long and narrow, with enough warp length for a wrist sized woven bracelet plus knot tails on both ends.

Custom
Allows you to set your own width, height, dent count, cutout size, corner radius, and notch settings.

Optional Loom Stand

An optional stand is included so the loom can be used at an angle instead of flat on the table. This can make weaving more comfortable and also works well for displaying a finished or in progress piece. The stand uses a fitted slot, so enter the actual material thickness.

Yarn guidance

The included presets are designed to land around 6 EPI, which works well with worsted weight yarn. Worsted weight is one of the most common yarn sizes found in US craft stores, so beginners can usually pick a yarn from brands like Lion Brand, Red Heart, or Cascade and get good results.

Thinner yarn may create a looser fabric unless you increase the dent count. Thicker yarn may need fewer dents or a wider spacing between warp threads.

What is EPI?

EPI means ends per inch. In this project, it refers to how many warp threads fit across one inch of usable weaving width.

A higher EPI means the warp threads are closer together.
A lower EPI means the warp threads are farther apart.

For simple beginner weaving with worsted weight yarn, around 6 EPI is a good starting point.
