Create custom 3D printable buttons for sewing projects, clothing repairs, craft projects, and oversized play buttons. Choose a preset, pick a shape, adjust the size, and fine tune the holes, border, groove, and stitch details.

The Button Generator creates one custom button at a time. Start with a preset, or adjust the shape, size, holes, and surface details to match your project.

Raised features such as the border, groove, and stitch details add height to the base button. This makes the design easy to customize while keeping the model simple and printable.

Good uses

  • Sewing buttons

  • Replacement garment buttons

  • Motor skill practice buttons

  • Craft buttons

  • Classroom and play activity buttons

Basic workflow

  1. Choose a Button Preset.

  2. Pick a Button Shape.

  3. Set the Button Size.

  4. Adjust the Shape Radius if your shape uses rounded corners.

  5. Set the Button Depth and raised detail depths.

  6. Turn the Border, Groove, and Stitches on or off.

  7. Adjust the hole size, spacing, and count.

  8. Fine tune the border, groove, and stitch settings as needed.

  9. Download the 3MF file and print.

Printing notes

Larger buttons can handle more detail. Smaller garment buttons work best with simple holes, a subtle border, and a shallow groove.

For play buttons, larger holes and raised details make the button easier to see, grip, and use. For garment buttons, keep the details smaller so the button still feels practical.
