Miniature Swan Rocker

Nice little project for parents and kids. Make a tiny swan rocker for a dollhouse.

Tools & Materials

This is designed to be cut out of 1/16" thick Basswood (or similar).

You can use the advanced settings to change the size, but double check the results before using.

  • toothpick (for the cross bar)

  • wood glue

  • Paint (white, black, orange)

  • Craft Knife (use to cut the pieces out)

  • sandpaper (150 or 220 grit)

Assembly

  • Sand off any smoke residue that won't be painted.

  • carefully cut the wood "tabs" holding the pieces in place.

  • Use the scored lines to place the two "seat" pieces and the "footrest"

  • Before glueing, cut the toothpick to width (remember it has to go into both holes).

  • Consider painting before gluing together.

  • Glue and test that it rocks.
