Uses

  • Dollhouse miniature decoration.

  • Next to honey in a store shelf

  • Gift to someone who makes life sweet.

Makes

A miniature bee hive model.

Material

Laser:

  • Baltic Birch plywood

  • MDF

  • Acrylic

Cricut

  • Chipboard

Assembly

Here they are out of the laser.

"Dry Fit" to make sure that you know where everything goes:

Paint: It is much easier to paint before you glue. A good wood glue should still hold together even over the paint.

Glue

  • Top

    • Glue "Top Support" to the bottom(side with no bee) of the "Top" piece.

  • Narrow Side (x2)

    • Glue rail to the top inside(side with no bee, above the antennae) of the "Narrow Side" with the "teeth" of the rails facing up, and flush with the top of the side. Take special care to get the rail centered on the side so that the wide wall can be glued in place.

  • Box

    • Make a box with the wide and narrow walls. The finger joints should help get this aligned correctly. Ensure the rails are facing in.

  • Bottom

    • Glue the "Box" to the bottom so that the curve faces the same side as the opening on one of the wide walls.

  • Done gluing, now you can slide the inserts into the box, and set the lid on top.

Done!
