Cardboard Folding Box

Sometimes... you just need a box to ship something in.

That happened to me recently, so I made a template to cut a box.

Unfortunately... most boxes are too big for my laser. So I thought I would make a template in case other people could get some use out of it.

NOTE:

Materiel thickness is REALLY important here, as the demo pictures show, I didn't measure correctly and the folds were super clumsy.

Uses

Ship something without having to go buy a new box.

Put your own branding on a box without purchasing in bulk.

Materiels

A sheet of cardboard

Assemble

1. The two slots are on both sides of the bottom of the box. fold the sides next to the slots up to 90 degrees.

2. Above and below the bottom of the box are two sides (width) of the box, and two tabs. Fold the sides up to 90, then the tabs IN 90 to point towards the slots.

3. Fold the top depth side (with the tabs) over the two tabs you folded in the last step. The tabs should insert into the slot holes in the bottom of the box

4. fold the top of the box towards the open bottom. the depth wise large tabs should fold in to fit inside the bottom of the box.

5. At the (now front) of the top, there is a fold section with two curved tabs. The curved tabs should fit into the forward facing slots on the front of the box to finish it off.
