Make a laser cut box with finger joints and internal dividers. Customize the outer dimensions, material thickness and the size of the compartments.

How to Use

1. Set the outside dimensions (width, depth, and height) of your desired box.

2. Set the materialThickness based on the material you're cutting. This will determine the height of the finger joints.

3. Set the kerf to compensate for the kerf of your cutter, this has the most influence on the fit. A value of 0.007" seems to work for most people. You can use the Finger Joints Kerf Tester to figure out the ideal kerf compensation for your materials and machine.

4. Select the number of columns and rows and the size will be evenly adjusted to fit the outside dimensions.

5. Optional: adjust the tabWidth if you want your finger joint tabs to be bigger or smaller.

Custom Sizing on the Dividers

You can select a custom inner dimension for each column or row, from left to right. For example [1, 2] will make the first column 1 inch and the second column 2 inches. You can enter -1 for any column that you want spaced evenly. For example, entering [2, -1, 2] would make the left and right columns 2 inches and have the middle column take the remaining space.
