Love Birds Sun Catcher

Our latest template is a Love Birds Sun Catcher that you can instantly personalize with a couple's names.

The Sun Catcher is made from Black Acrylic and PatternPly Clear Flex (see below). You can hang it on a window with fishing line and a suction cup.

The template automatically creates a two-layer SVG cut file with whatever names you type.

• The names are automatically sized and centered
• A heart is added between the names
• Dots on i's and j’s are connected

We learned about Sun Catchers from the Smokey Hill Designs community.

You cut the front layer from 1/8” Black Acrylic — apply peel and stick adhesive to the back of the acrylic before cutting.

Then the back layer (the colorful part) you cut from Clear Flex that has the pattern printed on it. We used Transparent Bright Sunrise Stained Glass for the sample above. Smokey Hill has 500+ options on their site!

Make sure to order Flex (not peel and stick) and that the product has “transparent” in the name for the Sun Catcher effect.
