Cuttle Creators Launch: New Pro templates from the community

We’re thrilled whenever we see people designing their own templates in the Cuttle Editor. One of our goals for 2025 is to enable our talented community to share these templates and earn income doing so.

So we’re excited to launch a new pilot program called Cuttle Creators. Creators are community members who are now able to release their templates as “Pro” and then earn royalties whenever Pro subscribers download their templates.

This means that in addition to the 100+ Cuttle official templates, your Pro subscription will now include access to even more templates, at no additional cost! (We’ll also continue regularly releasing new official templates.)

For example, pictured above is Creator Brian Wente’s new Easter Egg Tokens template — perfect for an Easter egg scavenger hunt. This template lets you type in a list of treat ideas (“Movie Night”) and it automatically generates an SVG file with all your tokens ready to go. The text is automatically scaled and centered on the tokens. The tokens fit inside standard plastic Easter Eggs. And the design and text are entirely scored, so it’s very fast to produce a batch of tokens.

You can find these new templates, along with all the projects that are freely shared by the Cuttle community, on the Explore tab of Cuttle’s site. Creators will also be posting their templates in the Cuttle Facebook Group, tagged with #CuttleCreators.

For the pilot, we are working with a handful of Creators who have been contributing to the Cuttle community for years. If the pilot program is successful, we hope to open the program up to more Creators in a few months.

Cuttle Creators is brand new territory for us but I think there’s a lot of potential in growing a healthy ecosystem where designers are able to use Cuttle to create and share templates to earn income. I’d love to hear your thoughts and suggestions on this new initiative!

Video Tutorial: How to Make a Custom Letter Banner

In Federico’s livestream from last week, he answers Diane McL’s request for a customizable Hanging Letter Banner.

He creates the flag outline by combining basic shapes like a rectangle and triangle.

He explains how Customized Repetitions work when using the Linear Repeat modifier. He uses this feature with some code to split the letters in a name and turn them into individual pieces of the banner.
