Circle Monogram Name Sign - SVG Generator

JUN 11, 2025

Here's the latest with Cuttle.

Template: Circle Monogram Name Sign Door Hanger

Our latest template lets you type any name and initials to generate a three-layer name sign.

  • Type any name and initials to instantly personalize
  • Circle monogram supports two or three initials
  • Three layers are generated with inset score lines to aid placement
  • The name is welded to the initials, keeping it in one piece and providing a stable back for gluing the name
  • Choose any font for the name
  • Dots on i’s are automatically connected
  • Optional hanging holes are added to the backer

This template was suggested to us by Gwynn Jones. Gwynn uses these designs for paint parties at her studio. It's a great activity for kids’ birthdays and summer camps!

We previously collaborated with Gwynn on the Name Sign Door Hanger template which is another DIY paint project she does with kids. That template has a tutorial video and supply list by Gwynn.

If you’re interested in running paint parties, I also recommend checking out Heather Bennett’s course Maker’s Blueprint. Heather has been running paint parties for many years, starting with mobile sign painting parties and then building out her own studio. I love that she teaches makers how to run these creative activities within their local communities!

Heather has made a coupon code for us. Use code CUTTLE for $25 off Maker’s Blueprint. This offer is good through Jun 30, 2025.

Video Tutorial: Make a State Name Ornament with Two Layers

In Federico’s livestream from two weeks ago, he shows how to create a two layer ornament with a US state name and shape outline. He uses the Noun Project to find SVGs of state shapes, and Connected Text with Tails in Cuttle for the state names.

This project doesn’t have a template, as the ornament for each state has to be designed individually. You can follow along with the video to see how Federico designed two example ornaments for Ohio and North Dakota.

You can catch Federico’s streams live on our Facebook Group on Thursdays at 1pm PT / 2pm MT / 3pm CT / 4pm ET.

Other Improvements and Fixes 🐞

  • Fixed a bug where parameters could not be dragged into the last position in a folder.
  • Fixed a bug where parameter handles were not draggable if the shape had a computed expression in its transform.
  • Sorted the parameter types alphabetically.
  • Added the “keepMask” parameter to the Mask modifier. If checked, it will keep the masking shape on top of the masked contents.
